Sound Waves alumni Ginetta’s Vendetta opens the 10th Anniversary season with an electrifying night of jazz led by internationally acclaimed trumpeter, vocalist, and bandleader, ??????? ???????????. A true jazz ambassador, Ginetta brings a fearless, groove-forward sound rooted in tradition yet alive with personality, joy, and unmistakable presence.

While her Friday appearance was singular, Ginetta has long been part of the extended Sound Waves family, bringing her signature style and holiday spirit to weekend daytime and seasonal market performances for several years, delighting audiences of all ages and becoming a familiar and welcome presence.

Opening night is presented as a Tribute to Miles Davis, dedicated in loving memory of Roger David Viele, whose deep love of jazz—and of Miles Davis in particular—helped shape this series from its earliest days.

???????’? ???????? features a stellar ensemble: 
??????? ???????  on saxophone, ?????? ????????? on piano, ????????? ???????? on drums, and ???? ????? on bass—musicians who listen, respond, and elevate the moment together, exactly the way Sound Waves nights are meant to unfold.

Ginetta’s single Friday Night Sound Waves appearance in 2021 became one of those nights ingrained in my memory when an unscripted moment unfolded, and special guest performer Jessie Jones Jr. joined in a piano piece being played by Dillard School of the Performing Arts alumnus Miles Lennox during the band break. It was magical, generous, and entirely in the spirit of Sound Waves.
